John B. Morton, Wholesale and Retail Family Grocer and Spirit Merchant, 577, Springburn Road.—

    Among the grocery establishments of Springburn, a prominent one is that conducted by Mr-J. B. Morton. He has been established for twenty years at this same address.

    His business, as a grocer, wine and spirit merchant, is well-known and very popular in the district. The goods are all of a superior order, and well arranged ; and, considering his large turnover, his shop has always a smart, cleanly appearance. He is well accredited with the splendid value he gives in all his goods, and especially in that of butter, and two shilling tea. His wines and spirits are also very fine in condition, a varied stock of which are always to be had — Danville’s old Irish whisky, finest Campbeltown and Islay whisky, Thomson’s old Irish whisky, and first-class brandies, wines, &c.

    Mr. Morton does a very large family trade here. He is much prized in the neighbourhood and esteemed by all his connections.
