Peter Dickson
Peter Dickson, Bootmaker, 66, Renfield Street.—
A Glasgow house widely known and supported for the making of the finest boots and shoes is that of Mr. Peter Dickson. He is one of the oldest established as he is one of the most popular boot and shoe makers in the city, having been originally established in business in 1862 in Parliamentary Road. In 1887 he removed to his present central premises, directly in the busiest section of Renfield Street.
Here he has a fine double-front shop containing the choicest stock in the city of fine-made boots and shoes. He has built up a large and permanent patronage in superior ready-made goods, but makes a speciality of fine bespoke work. He possesses vast practical experience and a thorough knowledge of what each and every customer requires, and thus turns out the finest goods, which fact has given him a wide and enduring reputation. His customers embrace many of our leading professional men, and the aristocracy and nobility of Western Scotland. Personally popular, Mr. Dickson pursues thoroughly honourable business methods, and is worthy of the record and trade he has so successfully established.
